Five Things You Need To Know: September 13

Today is Tuesday, September 13. Here are five things you need to know:

Rotary Chicken BBQ: Tomorrow, the Lynnfield Rotary holds its annual Chicken BBQ from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. This is a major fundraiser for the organization, one that helps fund the many projects it conducts on behalf of the town. For more information, click here.

Cub Scouts: Cub Scout signups for boys in Lynnfield will be tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Centre Congregational Church.  Cub scouts is open to boys in grades 1-5.   Pack 47 (Huckleberry Hill School) and Pack 48 (Summer Street School) will both be there.  For more information, contact Jeff or Lauren West at 781-593-7567 or laurencwest@yahoo.com

Library Ends Summer Hours: Over the weekend, the Lynnfield Library returned to its fall/winter hours. On Monday through Thursday, the library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, it is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sundays it is closed.

Memorial 5K: The 8th annual OD's Memorial Run/Walk, in memory of Johnny O'Donnell of Lynnfield, is on Sunday, September 25 starting at 10 a.m., with an 8:30 a.m. registration. Click here for more information.

Ace Bailey Fundraiser: tonight at 6 p.m., the Canadian Consulate in Boston hosts a fundraiser for the Ace Bailey Children's Foundation at the Elephant and Castle Pub, 161 Devonshire Street. Tickets are $65 – for more information, go to www.acebailey.org or call 401-270-6420.
