Today is Thursday, October 6. Here are five things you need to know.
LHS Sports: The varsity golf team plays at home against Hamilton-Wenham at 3:30 p.m., Girls JV volleyball is at 4 p.m. at Masco, while the varsity game is 5 p.m. Tonight at 7p.m., boys varsity football takes on Danvers at 7 p.m.
Car Wash Fundraiser: Speaking of LHS sports, the boys hockey team is raising funds with a car wash on Sunday, October 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South Lynnfield Fire Station.

Flu Clinic Postponed: The board of health flu clinic that was scheduled for Friday, October 7th at the has been postponed. It will be rescheduled at some point in the near future.
Cultural Council Grants: State lawmakers recently announced that the Lynnfield Cultural Council is set to receive $3,870 in grant funds for the coming year. Local artists, musicians and other creative individuals are welcome to apply for Lynnfield Cultural Council grants. To do so, visit this link, click the “forms” tab and print out the documents there.
