Five Things You Need To Know: October 31

Trick or treating tonight. Also - Library wants your input for a survey about eReaders.

Today is Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Here are five things you need to know.

Halloween: Just in case you missed this note yesterday afternoon, town officials have confirmed that there will be no need to postpone trick or treating. That’s what happened last year in Lynnfield as the town cleaned up from the Snowtober storm.

Storm Response: Reading Municipal Light anticipates having power back up for most remaining Lynnfield address today. However, its update from Tuesday cited some addresses in town that may still wait until Thursday. Visit their website here for more information.

Reunion: The Lynnfield High School Class of 1982 is having a reunion on Friday, November 23, from 7-11 PM at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge. Tickets are $65 per person. To buy tickets, send a check made payable to LHS 1982 Fund to 71 Forest Hill Ave, Lynnfield. More details can be found on the Lynnfield High School Class of 1982 Facebook page or by calling 781-334-5426.

Band Boosters Pie Sale: Time is running out to order a pie for Thanksgiving in the LHS Band Boosters Pie Sale. Click here for more information. Get your orders in by Nov. 9.

A Note From The Lynnfield Library: “In the Long Range Plan Community Survey, our patrons expressed a strong interest in learning about eReaders, eBooks, and how to use them.  We are creating an eReader Program called “eGad! Getting to know your eReader”, but we need your help!  Do you prefer small group sessions or to work one-on-one?   Do you have questions about using your device?  Please complete a short survey and tell us what kind of instruction you want.  The survey is available to take online by visiting http://tinyurl.com/lynnfiledlibrarysurvey , and paper copies are available at the Senior Center, Clerk’s Office at Town Hall and the Library.  Please complete the survey by December 7, 2012. Please help us design a better program for you!
