Five Things You Need To Know: Oct. 26

Today is Wednesday, October 26. Here are five things you need to know:  

Pumpkin Decorating And Stories: Tonight at 6:30 p.m., bring the kids by the for a pumpkin decorating party and scary story time. You bring the pumpkins, the library will have materials for decorating the pumpkins, as well as refreshments and Halloween stories.

Flu Clinic: The Lynnfield Board of Health will hold a flu clinic for those age 19 and over on Friday, November 4, 2011, from 9 a.m. to noon. The Clinic will be held at the , 525 Salem Street, Lynnfield. Those taking part must have no allergies to eggs or egg products and no history of Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS). Most insurance is accepted, please bring your cards. There is a $10 fee for those whose insurance will not provide coverage for the flu clinic.

Football Rally Dinner: The Monday before the big LHS/North Reading Thanksgiving football game (Nov. 21), drop by the restaurant in Lynnfield from 5 to 8 p.m. for a rally dinner and fundraiser. Customers will be able to have 15 percent of their dining tab donated to the Friends of Lynnfield Football.

LHS Sports Today: At 4 p.m. the girls varsity volleyball team is at home against Pope John XXIII (who plays incredible defense for a 130-year-old man), with the junior varsity game at 5:30 p.m.

Lynnfield Youth Basketball: Due to the number of players currently signed up in grades 1, 2 and 3, Lynnfield Youth Basketball has announced that any additional boys will be taken on a waiting list basis only and will be offered placement in the order they appear in the registration system. All paid registrations on or before October 24th have already been placed.
