Run For Ace: Speaking of annual races, the Ace Bailey Children’s Foundation has announced that it has one invitational bib left for its 2013 Boston Marathon team. Runners who accept one of these bib numbers commit to raise at least $5,000 for the foundation, which does various projects for hospitalized children. Email barbara@acebailey.org if you're interested.

Cradles To Crayons: State Senator Katherine Clark is working with Cradles to Crayons to help gather donated items for area children. Collection boxes will be at the Greenwood School, 907 Main Street, Wakefield, until tomorrow. Volunteers are also needed to help sort the items on October 27 at the Melrose Middle School on Lynn Fells Parkway from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call John at 617-722-1206 if you’re interested in volunteering.
