Love Books? The Booklovers group at the Lynnfield Library meets tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. October's book is "A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France and the Birth of America," by Stacy Schiff. Call Nancy Ryan at 781-334-5411 for more information.

Family Fun Night: Next Friday night, St. Maria Goretti Parish is having a family fun movie and pizza night starting at 5:30 p.m. with Disney's "Spooky Buddies" to be shown at 6 p.m. Suggested donation of $1 per child, with profits going to My Brother's Table or Catholic Charities. There will also be concessions stand with popcorn, candy and drinks. Children are encouraged to bring a sleeping bag or pillow, chairs will be provided for the adults. LHS Sports: Weather permitting, the varsity golf team was set to participate in the Cape Ann League Open at Far Corners Golf Course today.

Republican Town Committee: The Republican Town Committee meets at 7 p.m. tonight in the selectmen's room at town hall.
