Today is Monday, Oct. 9. Here are five things you need to know.

Absentee Ballots: The town clerk’s office reports that absentee ballots will be available on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Call 781-334-9400 for information. The registration deadline for the election is Oct. 17.

Fall Choral Concert: Lynnfield High School's fall choral concert will be held on Wednesday evening, October 17, at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.  Concertgoers will hear performances by the Concert Choir, Women’s Chorus and the Chamber Singers. With preparations well underway for the group's trip to Orlando in April 2013, the concert will feature entertaining selections from popular Disney movies, including "Beauty and The Beast," "Aladdin," "The Little Mermaid" and "Pete’s Dragon." Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

From The Board Of Health: The Lynnfield Board of Health will hold a Flu Clinic for those age 19 or older at theTown Hall, 55 Summer Street, on Monday, October 29, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. This clinic is open to non-Lynnfield residents as well as Lynnfield residents. Those seeking flu vaccine must not have allergies to eggs or egg products and must have no history of Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS). Most insurance is accepoted. Please bring all insurance cards. There will be a $10 fee for those whose insurance is not accepted.

Lynnfield Senior Center Event: Jo-Ann Thibault of The Elder Insider will be at the senior center to talk about the truth of reverse mortgages and help us sift through the myths. Thursday, Oct.18 at 12:30, Free. Lunch will be served at 11:30 for $2.00/$3.00. You must sign up for the lunch by 12 noon the day before. Please sign up separately for the lecture.
