Five Things You Need To Know, Nov. 4

It's trick or treating time in Lynnfield Sunday evening.

Today is Friday, Nov. 4. Here are five things you need to know.

Trick Or Treat! – Don’t forget that Sunday evening, Nov. 6 is trick or treat time in Lynnfield for this year. Town officials made the decision to postpone Halloween on Monday due to fallen wires and tree limbs. Suggested trick or treat times are 5 to 8 p.m., although this weekend we also turn our clocks back (2 a.m.. Sunday) – so parents of younger children may want to plan accordingly since it will be getting dark that much earlier. It remains to be seen if the town will get many trick or treaters from other surrounding communities – so there’s a good excuse to stock up on some marked-down Halloween candy.

Soccer: The Lynnfield High School boys and girls soccer teams have both made it to the MIAA post-season tournament. The boys soccer team, which got a bye in the preliminary round, plays Sunday at noon in a home game against either Winthrop or Newburyport. The girls team, which also had a bye in the preliminary round, plays against Lowell Catholic on Saturday at noon at Rivier College.
