Five Things You Need To Know: November 1

Some upcoming events and activities in the Lynnfield area.

Today is Thursday, November 1. Here are five things you need to know.

American Music Icons: Bill Sarno’s four-week lecture series on American Music Icons was delayed one week because of Hurricane Sandy. His lecture focusing on Judy Garland will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. in the Old Meeting House in Lynnfield. A different musical legend will be featured during each week’s lecture.

Michael Nye Exhibit: Earlier this year, local nonprofit group Gathering Change worked to bring Michael Nye’s photo exhibit on hunger to the North Shore. The exhibit, currently on display at Endicott College in Beverly, is only up until Nov. 4. Click here to learn more.

A Note From The Lynnfield Senior Center: Maureen Palla from Home Health VNA will be here to talk about how stress enters our body, ways to decrease stress and tips for a stress free holiday season. Thursday, November 8 at 12:30. Free. Please join us for lunch at 11:30 for $2.00/$3.00.  You must sign up for lunch by 12 noon the day before. Please sign up separately for the lunch and the lecture.

MIAA Tournament – The LHS field hockey team has an MIAA tournament game today at 2:15 p.m. against Pentucket at the middle school field. Lynnfield (11-4-3) enters the tournament as a #7 seed while Pentucket is at #10.
