Today is Wednesday, May 9. Here are five things you need to know.

Mother’s Day Cards: today at the Lynnfield Library, bring the kids in their PJs at 6:30 p.m. for a Mother’s Day Pajama Party featuring stories about moms and grandmothers, as well as card-making for them.

Golf For Moms: has announced that this Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, all moms can receive a complimentary golf game and cart. Just call 781-334-3151 for tee times.

Family Movie Night: This Friday evening at 6:30 p.m., the Huckleberry Hill PTO presents a free family movie night at the school, featuring “The Muppets,” at 6:30 p.m. Bring blankets and dinner. HHS supplies the popcorn.

Senior Center Event: Later this month, the hosts a lunch and live performance “All The President’s Women.” On Tuesday, May 15 at 11:30 a.m., enjoy a live performance featuring the lives of U.S. presidents, as well as a luncheon featuring authentic first ladies’ recipes. Please purchase tickets ($7) in advance at front desk.

LHS Sports: Today at 3:30 p.m., the track team is at home against Triton. The girls tennis team also plays at home at 3:30 p.m., against Pentucket, while the boys team plays on the road, same time and same opponent. At 3:45 p.m. the girls varsity and JV softball teams both play Georgetown on the road. The 4 p.m. the boys varsity lacrosse team plays Newburyport at 4 p.m., with the JV game at 5:30 p.m. The girls varsity team plays at 4:30 p.m. at Burlington.
