Laser tag fundraiser later this month to benefit Lynnfield Special Education Parents Advisory Council.

Today is Monday, May 7. Here are five things you need to know.

Laser Tag: Later this month, Lynnfield Special Education Parents Advisory Council holds a laser tag fundraiser. The event is Tuesday, May 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Laser Craze, 15 Presidential Way, Woburn. The laser tag is for ages 7 through adult and costs $12 for a 40-45 minute session with four 5-minute games back to back in the arena.  There is also an adrenaline zone (inflatable area) for ages 2 to 10, $8 for unlimited time. 45% of all proceeds from laser tag and the adrenaline zone will be donated to Lynnfield SEPAC. Recreation Commission: Tricia Torosian has announced that she is stepping down as Lynnfield Recreation Commission director. The recreation committee reports that it is looking to hire one or two individuals to handle a variety of different tasks, from planning and running current programs to creating new ones, developing and maintaining the website, and collecting field permit fees and confirming approved use of town fields. Town Business: The Lynnfield Selectmen meet tonight at 7 p.m. at . Tomorrow evening (Tuesday) at 7 p.m., the school committee meets, with a school choice hearing among the agenda items.

Reid's Ride Fundraiser: The annual Reid’s Ride comedy night is coming up on Thursday evening, May 10 at Prince Pizzeria on Route 1 in Saugus. The event helps support the annual (July) 28-mile bike ride from Lynnfield to Gloucester that raises money for children’s cancer research. Doors open at 7 p.m., there is a cash bar, and tickets are $20 each.  Email meredith.greeno@gmail.com for more information.

LHS Sports: Today at 3:30 p.m., the girls varsity tennis team plays Masco at home, while the boys team is on the road, also against Masco. At 3:45 p.m., the varsity and JV softball teams play on the road against Ipswich High School. The Boys JV lacrosse team plays at home against Georgetown at 4:30 p.m., with the varsity game at 5:30 p.m. The girls JV lacrosse team is in Ipswich at 5:15 p.m., with the varsity teams playing at 6:30 p.m.
