Five Things You Need To Know: May 25

Register now for the annual Lynnfield Athletic Association July 4th Road Race. Town's Memorial Day parade is Monday.

Today is Friday, May 25. Here are five things you need to know.

Lynnfield High School Class of 2012: The LHS commencement ceremony is next Friday, June 1 at 6 p.m. at the middle school field.

Memorial Day Parade: The town’s annual Memorial Day is Monday, starting at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 8:15 a.m. From there, the parade marches to the South Burying Ground on Salem Street and then on to the Willow Cemetery on Summer Street where ceremonies will be conducted at each location. Final ceremonies are expected on the town common around 11 a.m.

Lunch and a Lecture: Melanoma- What it is. How it appears. How it is diagnosed and how it is treated. Nancy d’Amore from Home Health Foundation will be here to tell us everything we need to know. June 7 at 12:30. Free. Please sign up. Lunch will be served at 11:30 for $2.00/$3.00. Please sign up for lunch by 12 noon the day before. Please sign up separately for the lunch and the lecture.

LAA Road Race: Each July 4, the Lynnfield Athletic Assocation holds its annual road race, which is an important source of funding for the high school’s sports programs. Runner can register on-site the day of the race starting at 7:30 a.m., or they can register online in advance. .
