Today is Friday, March 9. Here are five things you need to know.

Destination Imagination: Lynnfield Destination Imagination team Mr. L. Jacks is raising funds for lymphoma research by selling raffle tickets for various prizes. Members are expected to be out in town selling tickets this weekend. However, you can also call 781-389-9284 and get them.

Service Of Remembrance: A service of remembrance for those who have lost loved ones will be held this Sunday at Centre Congregational Church at 2 p.m. If you wish for your loved one's name to be printed in the bulletin, please send that information by Thursday, March 8th.  You may email to: Office@centre-church.org; call 781-334-3050; or send to: Centre Church, 5 Summer Street, Lynnfield, MA 01940, Attn. Art In Bloom: On Monday night, the Lynnfield Library opens the annual Art In Bloom exhibit with an informal talk and tour of the artworks from 7:30 to 9 p.m.  The work by local artists will be on display throughout the week.

School Budget Hearing: The Lynnfield School Committee has scheduled a Public Hearing on the proposed FY ’13 School Budget. The Hearing will be on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the High School Media Center. Citizens of the community are invited to attend this Public Hearing.

BKP Book Shipment: If you’re interested in getting involved with local nonprofit group BKP (or donating some books to young people in the Philippines), stop by the basement this Saturday, March 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., where members of the group will be packing up their latest overseas shipment to libraries in impoverished areas of the Philippines. You can also find out more about the group by emailing bkp@bkpinc.org. The group’s name, Bagong Kulturang Pinoy, translates to “New Filipino Culture.”
