LHS Boys Basketball team is going to the MIAA North Division 4 final game. Next historical society meeting focuses on New England presidential landmarks, and donated books already being accepted for annual sale.

Today is Wednesday, March 6th. Here are five things you need to know.

MIAA Tournament: The Lynnfield High School Boys Basketball team is going to the MIAA North Division 4 final game. They play Snowden International School Friday night at 7:45 p.m. at Emmanuel College in Boston. On Tuesday night, LHS beat Lowell Catholic, 70-57 to advance to the final.

Presidential Landmarks: The next meeting of the Lynnfield Historical Society is on Tuesday, March 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the Old Meeting House, featuring a talk by David Kruh on the presidential landmarks of New England.

Spring Auction: The Summer Street School PTO is holding their Spring Auction on Saturday night, April 27th at the Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton. To get tickets or to donate an item, click here.

Peeps Diorama Contest: There’s just over two weeks left to get involved in the Peeps diorama contest held by Girl Scout Troop 60071. The entries will be displayed later this month at the Lynnfield Idol final at LHS. Entries must be dropped off by Sunday, March 24th. Click here for more information.

Used Book Sale: Spring is right around the corner, and that means that the annual Geraniumfest Celebration and Friends of the Library used book sale are coming up as well. This year’s celebration is May 18th – and the library is already accepting donated books, music CDs, and DVDs for one of its key annual fundraising events. You can also arrange to have items picked up at your home by calling 781-608-4179.
