Five Things You Need To Know: March 21

Selectmen meet Monday night to discuss proposed athletics field project.

Today is Wednesday, March 21. Here are five things you need to know.

Town Business: The Lynnfield Selectmen will meet on Monday, March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Media Center to discuss the proposed athletics field project. Article 24 of this year's town warrants proposes $100,000 from the town real estate fund for preliminary planning and design work on a possible athletic fields complex that would be located on land off of Main Street on the way to Middleton that is currently owned by the Lynnfield Center Water District.

SEPAC Workshop: The Lynnfield Special Education Parents Advisory Council will be hosting a workshop for parents and professionals on Wednesday, March 21st from 7 - 9 at the , 525 Salem Street. The theme of the workshop is “An IEP For My Child,” focusing on the individual education programs that a child must have to receive special education services.  For more information, please contact co-chairs Terri Farrell or Elaine Gravante through the Special Services Office at 781-581-5140.

Holy Week Music: This Sunday evening at , the St. Patrick Family Players will perform a show of Holy Week music. Admission is a free will offering to benefit the players. .

The King's Speech: The next Lunch and a Movie event at the will feature a recent masterpiece, “The King’s Speech,” on Tuesday, March 27 at 11:30 a.m. Sign up by noon the day before at the front desk, $2.

Lego Night: Tonight at 6 p.m., bring the kids (ages 6 and up) by the Lynnfield Library for Lego Night. The library provides the Legos though.
