Candidates Night: The Lynnfield Business Coalition is sponsoring the annual Candidates Night tonight at Lynnfield High School at 7 p.m. With several contested town races this year, this is a good chance to get to know your candidates in advance of the April 9 town election.

Author Visit: Tonight at 7:30 p.m., it’s “True Crimes From the Court of New England,” a presentation at the featuring author and former trial lawyer Diane Rapaport. The event is presented by the Lynnfield Historical Society. Rapaport’s latest book is “The Naked Quaker: True Crimes and Courts of Colonial New England.”

Harry Houdini: On Friday afternoon at 3:45 p.m., bring the kids by the Lynnfield Library for a Harry Houdini birthday party, featuring stories about magicians. And tomorrow night at 6 p.m., there’s a Lego Night at the library.

Town Warrant: With town meeting rapidly approaching, it’s a good time to start brushing up on . For example, Article 19 would set up some new fees for the health department, while Article 24 would authorize the beginning of some design and planning services for a future athletic field complex that would be located on land now owned by the Lynnfield Center Water District off of Main Street on the way toward Middleton.
