School Committee Picks Mauro: After interviewing the candidate during their meeting Monday night, members of the school committee unanimously approved Kara Mauro as the new interim special services director. Mauro is the current district special education team chairperson/out of district liaison for the Reading Public School District.

Blood Drive: Those who would like to donate blood to Children's Hospital and the Jimmy Fund Clinic can do so on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at the West Side Social Club, 4 Harrington Court in Wakefield.
