Car wash fundraiser, Lego hour at the library among upcoming events in town.

Today is Friday, June 29. Here are five things you need to know.

Car Wash Fundraiser: On Sunday in the Post Office parking lot in Post Office Square, the LHS Cheerleading squad is having a car wash fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For just $5, you can help defray the squad’s expenses as they gear up for the coming year.

Lego Hour: Today at 2 p.m., bring the kids by the Lynnfield Library for a Lego Hour, geared toward ages 6 and up. The library supplies the Legos.

LAA Road Race: This Wednesday, July 4, it’s the 44th annual Lynnfield Athletic Association 5K road race. This is a major fundraiser for the LAA, which helps defray the cost of the athletic programs at LHS. Race-day registration is $25 for those over age 17, $20 for those under that age. 

JogNog: Lynnfield company JogNog, which specializes in educational test prep games, is having a contest during the summer months to help kids stay sharp on their studies until school resumes. Kids answering the most  correct questions on any given day can win a $10 Amazon gift card. Check out this blog posting on the company’s website for more information.

Constituent Service: Next Friday, July 6, State Senator Katherine Clark or a member of her staff will be at Lynnfield Town Hall at 10 a.m. for a constituent service hour.
