Five Things You Need To Know: June 27

Lunch Bunch and Lego Hour among this week's family activities at the library.

Today is Wednesday, June 27. Here are five things you need to know.

From The Lynnfield Senior Center: Maureen Palla from Home Health Foundation will discuss the importance of hydration, staying out of the sun, healthy activity and the signs of heat exhaustion and how to treat it. Thurs. July 12th at 12:30. Free. Please sign up. Lunch is served at 11:30 for $2.00/$3.00. You must sign up for lunch by 12 noon the day before. Please sign up separately for the lunch and the lecture.

Lunch Bunch: On Thursday at 1 p.m., the Lynnfield Library has its latest Lunch Bunch gathering. Children entering grades 3 and up are invited to bring a blanket and picnic lunch and enjoy hearing excerpts from a chapter book as well as a craft. Books geared towards grades 3-5. Also keep an eye on the library events calendar for its Lunch Bunch Jr. program, geared toward ages 2-6.

Lego Hour: Speaking of the library, there are other fun activities planned for the kids this week. The next Lego Hour is at 2 p.m. on Friday,

Blood Drive: This Saturday, July 14 at 9 a.m., the Red Cross is having a blood drive in Lynnfield at Our Lady of the Assumption School.

Concerts On The Common: Each summer, Lynnfield hosts a series of concerts on the town common running on Wednesdays through the month of July. The first one is right around the corner, featuring Evolution, Wednesday, July 11 at 6 p.m.
