Five Things You Need To Know: June 26

Lynnfield Senior Center holds its annual classic car sale today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Today is Tuesday, June 26. Here are five things you need to know.

Classic Car Show: Today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the presents its annual classic car show. Along with several dozen classic cars on display, a hot dog lunch will be available for just $2, while the Friends of the Lynnfield Senior Center will raise funds with a cookie sale and a cake bingo game.

Lunch Bunch, Jr. - If you’re looking for a fun activity with the kids (aged 2-6) tomorrow, bring them by the library at 1 p.m. for the new Lunch Bunch Jr. program, which this week will feature books about artists, designers and musicians, as well as a craft.

Big Band Tuesday: On the second Tuesday of the month, the Lynnfield Senior Center hosts the R&R 2000 band, which specializes in big band style music. The next performance there is on Tuesday, July 10 at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will also be served at 11:30 for $3, sign up the day before by noon for that.

5K Road Race: Are you interested in doing the annual Lynnfield Athletic Association 5K road race on the morning of July 4th?  If so, there’s still time to get involved. , which helps fund athletic programs for Lynnfield High School students.

Reids Ride: Online registration is now underway for the 8th annual Reid’s Ride, which is on July 15, 2012. Cyclists make the 28-mile ride from Lynnfield High School to Stagefort Park in Gloucester and raise money for children’s cancer research. To register or to learn more, click here.
