Pet care clinic, Rock For Dads among this week's upcoming events.

Today is Monday, June 11. Here are five things you need to know.

Pet Care Clinic: If you’re a pet owner who would like to become better informed on what to do when a medical emergency presents itself, Dr. Diana Watkins of the Animal Hospital of Lynnfield is hosting a pet care clinic and live demonstration this Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish, 173 Albion St., Wakefield.  The cost is $10 and participants will learn about CPR for pets, bandages and splints, and dealing with seizures, dehydration, toxins, and more. Proceeds benefits the Veterinary Scholarship Trust of New England (VSTONE). To reserve your space and purchase your ticket contact Janet Rivers of Saint Joseph Parish at 781-910-5011 or janetrivers@verizon.net.

Rock For Dads: , Lynnfield resident Steven Connolly is organizing the second Rock For Dads event at the Wakefield Elks Club this Saturday, June 16 from 7 to 11 p.m. The event features two rock bands, raffles, auction items and more. Last Day Of School: I’m not sure about everyone else out there, but this school year seems to have gone by incredibly fast. With  considerable help from a snowless winter, the last day of school is this Thursday, June 14. That said, the Lynnfield School District has already posted a calendar for the next school year, which can be viewed here.

Disability Placards: The next lunch and lecture event at the Lynnfield Senior Center will focus on disability placards. Michele Ellicks from MassDOT/RMV will talk on Thursday. June 21 at 12:30 p.m. about the rules and regulations of disability placards.  Lunch at 11:30 a.m. is $3. Sign for the talk and for lunch separately.
