Today is Tuesday, July 3. Here are five things you need to know,

LAA Road Race: Don’t forget that the annual Lynnfield Athletic Association 5K road race is taking place in town tomorrow morning and will begin near town hall at 9 a.m. On-site registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the race ($20 for 16 and under, $25 for 17 and older).

Teddy Bear Checkups: Next Friday, July 6 at 10 a.m., the Lynnfield Library presents a teddy bear checkup day. Bring the kids by to get a checkup for their teddy bear (or other favorite stuffed animal), and also to enjoy a snack and stories about teddy bears.

From The Lynnfield Senior Center: Maureen Palla from Home Health Foundation will discuss the importance of hydration, staying out of the sun, healthy activity and the signs of heat exhaustion and how to treat it. Thurs. July 12th at 12:30. Free. Please sign up. Lunch is served at 11:30 for $2.00/$3.00. You must sign up for lunch by 12 noon the day before. Town Business: The next meeting of the Lynnfield Selectmen is Monday, July 9 at 7 p.m. at town hall.

Little League Tournament: Tournament action for  the D16 All-Star Tournament 11-12 Little League players resumes on for Lynnfield on Friday, July 6 at 5:45 p.m. when the team takes on  the Saugus National team.
