Today is Friday, July 27. Here are five things you need to know.

Zip Trip: On Friday, August 10, Fox 25 Morning News will run a “Zip Trip” segment featuring Lynnfield. The channel’s news team goes to a different town in the area every week to highlight its attractions and more.

Make Your Own Airplane: Today at 1:30 p.m., bring the kids by the Lynnfield Library for a make your own airplane party, featuring some stories about flight. Recommended for ages 4 and up.

Futures of Fenway: The Lynnfield Recreation Commission is going to the Futures of Fenway on Saturday August 18, 2012. Come and enjoy with us an afternoon of baseball at Fenway Park featuring The Lowell Spinners and Pawtucket Red Sox. This is a family friendly event featuring a time for autographs, games and discounted concessions.  Tickets are $20 per person and a form can be downloaded from the recreation website as well as picked up at the recreation office.  Forms must be in by Monday July 30 as the group tickets need to be purchased.  Any questions please contact Julie Mallett at 781-334-9488 or recreation@town.lynnfield.us.ma

Walk Of Hope For ALS: Coming up on Saturday, September 8, it’s the 11th Annual Walk of Hope to Benefit ALS research. Proceeds benefit the Angel Fund, which is devoted to fighting ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Registration begins at 9 a.m. that day and the walk is at 11 a.m.  To get involved as an individual or as a team, go to www.theangelfund.org or call the Angel Fund at 781-245-7070.  Donations to the Angel Fund can also be sent to 649 Main Street, Wakefield, MA 01880.  Companies interested in sponsorship opportunities are also sought
