Today is Thursday, July 21. Here are five things you need to know:

Heat Wave: Essex County is one of numerous areas across the country currently under a heat advisory from the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to be as high as 100 degrees between now and Sunday.

Summer Concerts: Last night, the Brian Maes band played on the Lynnfield Common. Next Wednesday, the town's summer concert series wraps up with music from Lynnfield High School's chorale group and musicians.

Upcoming Town Business: The conservation commission meeting that was postponed is now scheduled for Wednesday, July 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the selectmen's room.The town's tree committee meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the conference room at town hall.

Next Planning Board Meeting: In other town business next week, the planning board meets Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the planning board office at town hall.

Lunch Bunch: The Library has its weekly Lunch Bunch gathering today at noon for ages 6-12, featuring folk tales from around the world.
