Water Restrictions: Notwithstanding this week’s rain, the state has required the 14 communities in the Ipswich River Water Basin to further restrict their outdoor use of water. This means that the Lynnfield Center Water District has prohibited the use of all sprinklers and irrigation until further notice. A hand-held hose may still be used at any time. Violators will be fined. For updated information, visit the water district website at www.lcwd.us. Also note that the current restriction only applies to customers of the Lynnfield Center Water District, which does not serve all town residents.
