Concert On The Common: The weather caused the postponement of last night’s scheduled concert  with the Brian Maes Band on the town common. Rain dates for the concert series are on Thursday, also from 6 to 8 p.m.

Senior Writing Group: Did you know that on Mondays, the Lynnfield Senior Center has a writing group that meets at 10 a.m. to reminisce an write down stories, poetry, and more?

Summer Of Fun Activities: The Lynnfield Community Schools’ Summer of Fun Activities program is already heading into week 6. Each week brings a variety of fun new activities for local kids. For a look at what’s on the SOFA schedule for the rest of the summer, click here.

Lego Night: Monday is the next Lego Night at the Lynnfield Library. Bring the kids by at 6 p.m., no fee, and no registration. The library supplies the Legos.

Walk Of Hope For ALS: Coming up on Saturday, September 8, it’s the 11th Annual Walk of Hope to Benefit ALS research. Proceeds benefit the Angel Fund, which is devoted to fighting ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Registration begins at 9 a.m. that day and the walk is at 11 a.m.  To get involved as an individual or as a team, go to www.theangelfund.org or call the Angel Fund at 781-245-7070.  Donations to the Angel Fund can also be sent to 649 Main Street, Wakefield, MA 01880.  Companies interested in sponsorship opportunities are also sought.
