This week: An ice cream social and animals at the Senior Center.

Today is Monday, July 16. Here are five things you need to know.

Ice Cream Social: Tomorrow, the Lynnfield Library hosts a family ice cream social on Tuesday, July 17 at 2 p.m. The kids will hear a story about Clarabelle the Cow, by Cris Peterson, and they’ll be able to enjoy nut-free ice cream and toppings.

From the Lynnfield Senior Center:  Bring Your Grandkids to the Senior Center - Creature Teacher will be here with some of their exotic animals. We will learn about their habitat and may even be able to hold or pet some of the animals. Tues. July 17 at 12:30 p.m. Free. Please sign up. Treat the kids to a pizza lunch for $2.00/$3.00. You must sign up for lunch by 12 noon the day before. Please sign up separately for the lunch and the lecture. Everyone welcome!

Concert: This week’s concert on the Lynnfield Common is the Brian Maes Band, Wednesday, July 18 at 6 p.m.

Town Business: The conservation commission meets at 6:30 p.m. this evening in the conservation commission office.

This Wednesday at 4 p.m., at Sunrise Senior Living, Judith Arneson, RN, clinical project specialist of Partners Healthcare at Home, gives a free presentation on how to optimize care and prevent hospitalization in chronic care patients. 1 CEU for nursing will be awarded to those who attend.
