Today is Friday, July 15. Here are five things you need to know:
Weekend Fundraising Events: There are two fundraising events taking place this weekend that have Lynnfield connections. First, a group of local residents on Saturday at 9 a.m. to raise funds for the Colon Cancer Alliance in memory of Marcy Kennedy of Lynnfield.
Reid's Ride: On Sunday, will leave from Lynnfield High School at 7:30 a.m. The 28-mile bike ride raises money to research cures for cancers that primarily affect young people. Riders will head from Lynnfield through Middleton, Danvers, Beverly and Manchester before wrapping up at Stagefort Park in Gloucester.

Town Business: Monday evening at 7 p.m., there is a selectmen's meeting at town hall.
