Five Things You Need To Know: July 11

An afternoon of fun family activities on the town common.

Today is Wednesday, July 11. Here are five things you need to know.

Parade/Independence Day Celebration: This afternoon before the concert gets underway, the Rotary Interact Club has organized this year’s town Independence Day celebration, featuring the “horribles parade” with contests for decorated bikes, floats and doll carriages. Registration begins at 3 p.m. and the cost is $5 per child, not to exceed $10 per family.

Concerts On The Common: The town’s summer concerts series gets underway this evening at 6 p.m., featuring the band Evolution, which includes several Lynnfield High School alumni.  Next week, check out the Brian Maes band, Wednesday, July 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.
