Five Things You Need To Know: Jan. 12

Hazardous weather advisory, wind advisory in effect for local area today.

Today is Thursday, Jan. 12. Here are five things you need to know.

Weather Alerts: The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory, a wind advisory and a hazardous weather outlook for this region of Massachusetts for today.  If that doesn’t make you want to stay in bed all day, the forecast also carries a 100% chance of precipitation today and an 80% chance on Friday – almost all of it rain and showers with wind gusts that could reach 31mph. At least the weekend is looking sunny with moderate temperatures.

Traffic/Gas Prices: For those who have a commute today, don't forget that the Patch.com websites now have a feature where you can get real-time traffic conditions from Mapquest. You can also get local gas prices at this tab - although to get the full look at Lynnfield, you will want to click "more local prices" down at the bottom of the page.
