LHS Basketball advances in MIAA tournament. Upcoming events include a coffee house Tuesday at the high school, and a library visit Saturday from the Cat in the Hat.
Today is Thursday, February 28th. Here are five things you need to know.
MIAA Tournament: The Lynnfield High School Boys Basketball team defeated Manchester-Essex, 63-50, in an MIAA Division 4 quarterfinal game. Up next is a semifinal against either St. Clement’s or Lowell Catholic, time, date and location all to be announced as of this writing.
Cat in the Hat Visit: This Saturday, March 2nd at noon, the Lynnfield Library gets a visit from the Cat in the Hat, who will read a story in celebration of Read Across America Day.
Lynnfield Idol: The semifinals for the Lynnfield Idol competition are Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m. at Lynnfield High School.

LHS Coffeehouse: Speaking of musical events at LHS, the next coffee house event, featuring the musical talents of the students, is Tuesday, March 5th, at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.
Photography Class: Lynnfield photographer Kerry Goodwin is having a “Three Simple Steps to Manual” class for DSLR cameras on Saturday, March 16th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Old Meeting House. Price is $75. Click here for more information.
