Today is Thursday, February 21. Here are five things you need to know.

Watercolor Demonstration: Tonight in Lynnfield at 7 p.m., North Shore artist Karen Nastuk gives a watercolor demonstration at the Lynnfield Senior Center at 525 Salem Street. .

Pastels Workshop: Tonight from 6 to 8 p.m., the Beebe Library in downtown Wakefield features a workshop on pastels with artist Gregory Maichack, who will use the work of Georgia O’Keeffe for inspiration.

Keeping with the Art Theme: The Lynnfield Library reports it is featuring four paintings by local resident Gladys M. Carter through the end of February.  The paintains are by the Genealogy room and the paperback collection.

Dog Licenses: The town has announced that the period for getting a 2013 dog license ends on February 28th. You can get a renewal form here on the town website.

Fresh Air Fund: The Fresh Air Fund is looking for families in the area who would be willing to host a young person from New York City this summer from July 11 to July 22. The organization has worked since 1877 to provide urban children with fresh air experiences in the country. Call 978-744-8531 or visit freshair.org for more information.
