Five Things You Need To Know: Feb. 10

Need a babysitter for Saturday night? Also, community sports equipment swap tomorrow at Congregational Church.

Today is Friday, Feb. 10. Here are five things you need to know.

Babysitting Fundraiser: Lynnfield 9th grade Senior Girl Scout Troop 60452 is holding a Kid’s Night Out Babysitting fundraiser at the Congregational Church Basement on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 6 to 9 pm, where parents can enjoy a valentine dinner out or catch a movie, while the girls watch the kids by showing them a movie, doing a valentine craft and feeding them a pizza dinner.  Open to children aged 3-10.  The cost is $15 per child, $25 per 2 siblings, and $30 for three or more siblings.  Interested parents should contact Laura Dillon at 781 334 6890 or dillon.lb@verizon.net to sign up.   The girls are fundraising for an educational troop trip.

Sports Equipment Swap: Junior Girl Scout Troop 60186 has scheduled a community sport swap for Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Centre Congregational Church. Drop off unwanted, gently used sports equipment or trade or purchased some other items. Girl Scout cookies will also be for sale. Those who would like to donate items, ranging from hiking boots to tennis racquets to baseball and hockey gear and other items in between, can email the troop leaders at ellenpfriedman@verizon.net or erinomadden@gmail.com

Photographer Demonstration: The next Lynnfield Art Guild presentation is on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. at the . This month’s guest is photographer Barbara Rozavsky, who is a past president of the Greater Lynn Photographic Association. For more information, call 781-334-6765.

Girls Basketball Fundraiser: On Monday, Feb. 13 from 5 to 10 p.m., stop by the on Salem Street in Lynnfield for a fundraiser by the Lynnfield High School girls basketball team. The team will be raffling off various prizes, including Celtics tickets, jewelry and gift certificates to local businesses. , including for takeout, donated to the LHS girls basketball program.

LHS Sports: Today’s LHS Sports calendar has the boys varsity basketball team playing at home against Rockport at 6:30 p.m. The boys wrestling team is at the Division III State Individual Tournament tomorrow night, while the girls varsity basketball team has an away game against Malden High School at 7 p.m.
