Those who would like to donate items, ranging from hiking boots to tennis racquets to baseball and hockey gear and other items in between, can email the troop leaders at ellenpfriedman@verizon.net or erinomadden@gmail.com

Bloggers: In the coming weeks, you'll see posts on Lynnfield Patch by two new bloggers – Dina Whalen of Fitness Together, and Janice Corkhum of Cervizzi's Martial Arts Academy. Even better, there's plenty of room for more – so if you're interested in doing some blogging about some area of expertise or interest, email William.laforme@patch.com.

LHS Sports: Today on the Lynnfield High School sports calendar, the varsity hockey team has a road game at Masco at 8 p.m. The junior varsity hockey team plays Marblehead in a home meet at the Peabody Rink at 8:15 p.m.

Lymphomathon: Last May, with an event around Lake Quannapowitt. This year's event will once again be held in Wakefield, on Sunday, May 5. For more information, click here.

Winter Golf: has announced that it is still open on a day by day basis. An announcement from the golf club says that it has three temporary greens, walking only, with a 9:30 a.m. daily opening time as long as weather conditions permit. That is interesting terrain Bill, is it in Lynnfield? I go up to the Res up by Spot Pond and it looks similar. It would be great to find other trails like that.

Hello Don - this at one of the higher elevations in Bow Ridge Reservation at the end of Ledge Road in the old quarry area. It's sort of a right turn and up from the main trail into the reservation. - Bill Laforme

Sure enough. I used to run up those power lines behind the bowling alley about 30 years ago. The hills were a good workout. There may be similar terrain up near Sagamore Golf Course, but may be private also. Thanks.
