Haven From Hunger: The local nonprofit group Haven From Hunger has strong ties to Lynnfield. The organization is currently in the early stages of a $1.3 million capital campaign that will allow it to expand its services. .

Town Business: There are currently no town board meetings scheduled until Wednesday, August 31 when the planning board meets.

Farm-Fresh Produce: It's Wednesday, which means the Farmers' Market at is set to run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Between now and late October, town residents will be able to buy fresh, locally grown produce here.

High School Sports: It's been a while since high school sports listings have appeared on this page, but the fall season is right around the corner. In fact, this Saturday the varsity football team has a scrimmage at Masco at 10 a.m., while the varsity boys soccer team has a scrimmage against Stoneham at 9 a.m.
