Five Things You Need To Know: August 10

Zip Trip comes to town this morning, two Lynnfield musicians play in separate musical gigs this weekend, and if your kid wants to do synchronized swimming, now is their chance.

Today is Friday, August 10. Here are five things you need to know.

Zip Trip: As noted earlier, the Fox 25 News team will be in town this morning from 6 to 10 a.m. shooting its “Zip Trip” visit to Lynnfield.  Fox 25 will be at the Middle School and commuters are advised to be prepared for some traffic if they happen to be driving on Main Street this morning.

Musical Gigs: Ryan Sweezey, who graduated from Lynnfield High School a couple of years ago, is playing at Harrington’s in Wakefield at 9:30 p.m. tonight. . Speaking of musicians from Lynnfield, Adam Hashian, who is also a call firefighter in town, .

Synchronized Swimming: Kids entering grades 1-9 are invited to an Introduction To Synchronized Swimming Clinic held by the North Shore Selkies team. The clinic runs Monday, August 20 through Thursday, August 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a cost of $130 for YMCA members and $180 for non-members. LET Calendars: The new Lynnfield Educational Trust calendars are now on sale for $15 at the Lynnfield Library, the Village Pharmacy, and the town’s school offices. Calendars feature student artwork and a comprehensive listing of school holidays and events.

Lynnfield Youth Soccer: Registration is currently open for this fall’s U6 and U8 Lynnfield Youth Soccer Teams – but a blog post this week on Lynnfield Patch noted that these teams also happen to need coaches. .
