Today is Monday, April 9. Here are five things you need to know.

Town Election: Today is the town election, with voting scheduled from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Lynnfield High School. This year’s contested races are for selectman, two school committee seats, and assessor. A sample ballot is provided on this website here this morning. Also, this link provides access to all of the candidates news, statements and coverage that have run during the 2012 town campaign season.

Storyteller At The Library: Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6:30 p.m., bring the kids by the Lynnfield Library to hear storyteller Mark Binder. The event is presented by the Huckleberry Hill and Summer Street PTOs in conjunction with the library.

Fine Arts Night: Next Thursday evening at 6 p.m., Huckleberry Hill Elementary School holds its annual Fine Arts Night. The event features musical performances and artistic creations that the children have been working on throughout the school year.

Autism Speaks Fundraiser: Local parents are helping to support the group Autism Speaks with a fundraiser this Monday, April 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kelly’s Roast Beef on Route 1 in Saugus. Drop by and show your support for Team Lynnfield.

LHS Sports: Another spring sports season is underway at Lynnfield High School. Here’s a look at what the teams are scheduled for today. The lacrosse teams are playing Hamilton-Wenham this afternoon. The boys are on the road with the varsity game at 4 p.m. and the junior varsity game at 5:30 p.m. The girls play at LHS, with the varsity game at 4 p.m. and the JV game at 5:30 p.m. Girls softball has a road game at Newburyport at 3:45 p.m., while the tennis team play at home against Ipswich at 3:30 p.m. and the track team is at Amesbury at 3:30 p.m.
