Today is Friday, April 27. Here are five things you need to know.
Precourt Family Blood Drive: Girl Scout Troop 60528 is sponsoring the 3rd annual Precourt Family Blood Drive at the on Saturday, May 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be kid-friendly, with crafts and face painting. Blood donors must be at least 17 years old. Those aged 16 can donate with a signed parental form. Call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment.
Curious About Cuisine: On Wednesday, May 9, the Lynnfield Library’s Curious About Cuisine group takes a tour of the Whole Foods in Woburn at 11 a.m. Call Library Director Nancy Ryan at 781-334-5411 if you’re interested in going.

Lunch and Kentucky Derby: Coming up on Tuesday, May 1, the Lynnfield Senior Center is hosting a lunch to celebrate the Kentucky Derby, which is later that weekend. Lunch features southern fare. Tickets are $7 in advance at the front desk.
Reid’s Ride Comedy Night: This Thursday, May 10 at 7 p.m., stop by Prince Pizzeria on Route 1 in Saugus for a fundraiser to benefit the Reid Sacco Memorial Foundation, which helps fight cancer in children. Cost is $20 per person, including pizza and a show with three comedians. There will be a cash bar and the event is 18+. LHS Sports: Today on the LHS sports calendar, the varsity and JV softball teams play at Masco at 3:45 p.m. The boys lacrosse team is at home, with the varsity game at 5:30 p.m. and the JV game at 4 p.m.
