Five Things You Need To Know: April 16

Earth Day party and annual Art Guild Auction among items on the calendar this week.

Today is Monday, April 16. Here are five things you need to know.

Patriot’s Day: It’s Patriot’s Day and the library and town hall are closed and the schools are on vacation week.  To mark the day, this website is featuring information about all of the Lynnfielders registered to run in today’s Boston Marathon. However, today also provided a good excuse to do a local history package, and you will also see in this morning’s news a three-story package featuring a story about Lynnfield’s Revolutionary War history, plus a list of all soldiers from Lynnfield who fought in the town, and, just for the heck of it, a fun quiz.

Lunch And Lecture: This week at the – Nancy D’Amore from Home Health Foundation will talk about food choices and stayin healthy. The talk is free, lunch, served at 11:30 a.m., is $2. Sign up for both the lecture and lunch at the front desk.
