Al Merritt Wake: A wake for former Lynnfield Selectman Al Merritt is today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Dello Russo Funeral Home at 306 Main Street in Medford. His funeral is and interment is tomorrow. Click here for more information.

American Legion: Lynnfield Post 131 of the American Legion meets Tuesday, April 2nd at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at town hall. All veterans are invited to attend. The organization is also actively recruiting new members.

Young Adult Poetry Day: Looking ahead to next Monday, April 1 at 2:30 p.m., the Lynnfield Library hosts a Young Adult Poetry Day celebration for youth ages 10 go 18. No registration required, and light refreshments will be served. Stop in and read some poetry and try writing your own.

Coffee With the Chamber of Commerce: At 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10th, stop by for some networking and some coffee with members of the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce at the Americal Civic Center. Call 781-245-0741 for more information.

The Red Cross has announced its next blood drive in the local area will be Monday, April 15th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wakefield/Lynnfield United Methodist Church on 273 Vernon Street, Wakefield.
