Masonic Open House: The Wakefield-Lynnfield Masonic building at 370 Salem Street has its spring open house this Saturday, April 6th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Autism Workshop: With April being Autism Awareness Month, the Lynnfield Special Education Parents Advisory Council and Autism Speaks present a workshop on autism next Wednesday, April 10th from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lynnfield Preschool, 525 Salem Street.

Musical Greats: This morning from 10 a.m. to noon, Bill Sarno returns to the Old Meeting House on Lynnfield Common to begin his latest four-part lecture series on America’s musical greats. Today’s topic is Ethel Merman. Next week is Perry Como. Click here for more.

Local Theater Fundraiser: You can help support the Wakefield Repertory Theatre just by dining at the Chili’s on 70 Walkersbrook Drive in Reading on Monday, April 15th and Tuesday, April 16th, for both dine in and carry out. A portion of your check will go to the WRT and their production of “Lucky Stiff,” which opens later this month.

Dessert Talk: Gloria Mezikofsky from Wakefield Cable Access TVs “Glo’s Kitchen” is coming to the Beebe Library in downtown Wakefield on Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m. for a demonstration on some of the desserts in her new cookbook “Dessert Gems.”
