Five Things Worth Knowing Today: American Legion Meets, and Library Celebrates Kids' Books

A look at what's coming up in and around Lynnfield.

Today is Tuesday, April 2nd. Here are five things worth knowing today.

International Children’s Book Day: That’s what it is today. And the Lynnfield Library is having a pajama party for the kids at 6:30 p.m. tonight featuring stories from all over the world plus a craft. Light refreshments will be served.

American Legion: Lynnfield Post 131 of the American Legion meets Tuesday, April 2nd at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at town hall. All veterans are invited to attend. The organization is also actively recruiting new members.

Wizard of Oz: The Youth Group at Our Lady of the Assumption Church is performing “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” this Friday, April 5th and Saturday, April 6th at 7 p.m. in the church hall. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children at the door.

Town Election: The town election is less than a week away. It’s Monday, April 8th at Lynnfield High School, voting runs from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Community Connections: Coming up on Sunday, April 7th, the Lynnfield Special Education Parents Advisory Council presents the first Community Connections event, which will be a fun, family-friendly time on the town common. Click here to learn more about it.
