Five Things To Know Today: St. Patrick's Party at the Library

A look at what's coming up in and around Lynnfield.

Today is Thursday, March 15th. Here are five things worth knowing today.

St. Patrick's Party: Today at 1 p.m. they’re having a St. Patrick’s Day party for the kids at the Lynnfield Library. Librarians will read stories about leprechauns, clovers and more, while some young Irish dancers will also do a performance. There will be a make-your-own baked potato smorgasbord.

Scholarship: Each year, the Centre Club of the North Shore awards a $1,500 Lynnfield Social Club scholarship to a graduating senior who lives in Lynnfield. Deadline for submitting materials is Wednesday, April 10th. Click here for more information.

LCC Coffeehouse: The next coffeehouse event at the Lynnfield Community Church is next Friday, March 22nd with the doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the show starting at 7:45 p.m. Doug Kwartler is the musical guest.  Click here for more information about him.

Food Pantry Concert: On Saturday, March 16th at 8 p.m., they’re having a concert to raise funds for the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. Musicians Kim and Reggie Harris are performing, as is singer and folk guitarist Rabbi Jonathan Kligler. Click here for more information.

Used Book Donations: Spring is right around the corner, and that means that the annual Geraniumfest Celebration and Friends of the Library used book sale are coming up as well. This year’s celebration is May 18th – and the library is already accepting donated books, music CDs, and DVDs for one of its key annual fundraising events. You can also arrange to have items picked up at your home by calling 781-608-4179.
