Five Things To Know Today: School Budget and Presidential History

A look at what's coming up in and around Lynnfield.

Today is Monday, March 18th. Here are five things worth knowing today.

The Lynnfield School Committee has a budget hearing Tuesday, March 19th at 7 p.m. in the selectmen’s room at town hall. The public is welcome to attend.

Martha Speaks Party: This Thursday, March 21st at 3:30 p.m. the Lynnfield Library will celebrate Martha, the children's character created by Susan Meddaugh who is also behind a PBS TV show. Along with the story, alphabet soup will be served.

Presidential Landmarks: The next meeting of the Lynnfield Historical Society is at the Old Meeting House on Tuesday, March 19th at 7:30 p.m., featuring a talk by David Kruh on the presidential landmarks of New England.

LCC Coffeehouse: The next coffeehouse event at the Lynnfield Community Church is next Friday, March 22nd with the doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the show starting at 7:45 p.m. Doug Kwartler is the musical guest.  Click here for more information about him.

Each year, the Linden Tree Coffeehouse series in Wakefield welcomes a variety of prominent folk acts and other artists. The next one is Saturday, April 6th at 8 p.m. when the Jammin’ Divas perform at the Unitarian Universalist Church in downtown Wakefield. For more information click here.
