Five Things: Couple of New Recreation Commission Members Needed

Recreation Commission: There are currently two vacancies on the Lynnfield Recreation Commission, noted town officials during Monday night’s selectmen’s meeting. If you’re interested in getting involved, inquire with the selectmen’s office at town hall.

Town Business: The School Committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. in the selectmen’s room at town hall.

LCC Coffeehouse: This Friday night at 7:45 p.m. at the Lynnfield Community Church on Salem Street, Alec Hutson performs. Click here for more info about the shows, which occur on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.

Afternoon Discovery Group: This Thursday afternoon from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m., the Lynnfield Library’s Afternoon Discovery Group holds its monthly meeting. Geared toward middle school students with an interest in science, engineering and technology, the group does an experiment each month and talks about the science behind it. No registration required.
