Five Things: Busy Weekend Coming Up in Lynnfield

A look at what's coming up in Lynnfield.

Today is Thursday, May 16. Here are five things worth knowing today.

Lynnfield Day: This Saturday it’s the new Lynnfield Day celebration on the town common. This is a continuation of the annual town celebration formerly known as Geraniumfest – and it will also feature a big yard sale at the Centre Congregational Church across the street, the town’s Arbor Day celebration, and the annual Friends of the Lynnfield Library used book/DVD/CD sale.

Judged Art Show: This Saturday, May 18th, the Lynnfield Art Guild holds its annual Spring judged show, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Centre Congregational Church. There’s also a reception there Friday night with the artists from 7 to 9 p.m.

Lynnfield’s annual Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk is coming up on Sunday, May 19th at 10 a.m., starting at the Old Meeting House. For information on getting involved or making a donation, click here.

Bowl-A-Thon: There’s still time to get involved with the upcoming Bowl-a-Thon to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Stoneham and Wakefield. The event is Sunday, May 19th at the Wakefield Bowladrome and teams of up to 4 can participate. Click here to learn more.
