Five Things: Annual Antique Fire Apparatus Parade and Show is June 8

A look at what's coming up in and around Lynnfield.

Today is Wednesday, May 29. Here are five things worth knowing today. 

Antique Fire Apparatus Parade: The Massachusetts Antique Fire Apparatus Association has announced that its 36th annual Fire Truck Parade and Show is Saturday, June 8th. The parade starts at 10 a.m. at the Lynnfield High School parking lot and goes down Summer Street and Salem Street to Audubon Road in Wakefield. The fire-matic flea market goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Edgewater Park.

Local Art Show: This Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8, Sunrise Senior Living on Salem Street holds its second art show and tour of homes. The art show features work by residents as well as by members of the Lynnfield Art Guild and others. Click here to learn more.

Teen Sports Trivia: Today from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m., youth in middle school and high school are invited to come by the Lynnfield Library for sports trivia. Teams of 1 to 4 can compete for a prize of cupcakes.

Golf: Reedy Meadow is starting a Ladies Golf League for players of all levels that would play Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m. starting on Wednesday, June 5. Also, the second Blue and Gold Golf Tournament, open to all Lynnfield residents, is June 15 at 2 p.m. - Father's Day weekend, with a one adult/one child scramble format. Jazz Concert: Coming up on Saturday, June 8, the Wakefield High School Jazz Ensembles, joined by jazz musicians Tatum Greenblatt and Geoff Vidal, perform a concert at Wakefield High School. Showtime is at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20. .
