Five Things: All Applicants Accepted Into Summer Recreation Program

A Note from the Lynnfield Recreation Commission: The Lynnfield Recreation Commission is pleased to announce that everyone has been accepted into the Summer Recreation Program.  Will do not need to hold a lottery this year.  There is also very limited space available in all programs and will be filled on a first come first served basis.  Any questions please feel free to contact Julie Mallett at 781-334-9488. 

Where the Wild Things Are: Coming up next Monday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m., the Lynnfield Library has a “Where the Wild Things Are” pajama party for the kids to celebrate the birthday of author Maurice Sendak. The librarians will read “Where the Wild Things Are” and other work by Sendak, with a craft and refreshments also planned.

Junior Golf Clinic: The Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts is holding a free junior golf clinic on Wednesday, June 12 for boys and girls aged 5 to 18.   The clinic runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and is at Reedy Meadow Golf Course. To register, email info@wgam.org or call 774-430-9010.

Jazz Music: Coming up on Saturday, June 8, the Wakefield High School Jazz Ensembles, joined by jazz musicians Tatum Greenblatt and Geoff Vidal, perform a concert at Wakefield High School. Showtime is at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20. .

A Note From the Lynnfield Senior Center: Michelle Caron will talk about how cholesterol is measured and the benefits of keeping cholesterol levels in check. She will give values and discuss what normal vs abnormal means. No actual testing will be done.Thurs., June 13 at 12:30.Free. Please sign up. Lunch is at 11:30 for $2.00/$3.00.
