Five Things: A Photo Exhibit Opening And Hockey Memorabilia

Photo exhibit on hunger brought to area by Gathering Change opens today.

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 10. Here are five things you need to know.

Hockey Memorabilia Auction: This online auction of memorabilia from the American Hockey League will raise funds for the Ace Bailey Children’s Foundation, which was founded after 9/11 in memory of Lynnfield resident and NHL player Garnet “Ace” Bailey. Click here to view the items up for auction.

Event This Weekend: This Sunday, Oct. 14th, it’s the Steps 2 Cure NF (Neurofibromatosis) walk, also around Lake Quannapowitt. In Wakefield Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the walk is at 2 p.m. Click here to learn more.

Photo Exhibit Opens: Today, a photo exhibit on hunger by Michael Nye opens at Endicott College in Beverly. Local nonprofit group Gathering Change, which raises funds for area food pantries, has worked for months to bring the exhibit to the area. Learn more at this link.

Curious About Cuisine: Members of the library’s Curious About Cuisine group are heading on a field trip to Tendercrop Farm in Newbury on Thursday, Oct. 11, with a rain date of Oct. 18.
