Five Places To Watch The Bruins

The Bruins haven't gotten this close to a Stanley Cup in two decades. Here's a few local places to catch the action.

This weekend is a pretty good time to be a Boston sports fan. The Red Sox are playing the Chicago Cubs in a rare matchup of legendary teams, and the Bruins will continue with their strongest run at the Stanley Cup in about 20 years.

For those who are wondering, the last time the Bruins won the Stanley Cup was the 1971-1972 season. They also won the cup in the 1969-70 season. Going back further, the team's other three Stanley Cups all came between 1929 and 1941.

On Saturday, the Bruins (unfortunately) play at 1:30 p.m. while the Red Sox/Cubs game is at 7:10 p.m. The Bruins currently lead the playoff series against Tampa Bay 2-1 and are just two wins away from going to the Stanley Cup finals.
